Five Mirrors of the World, 2018

December 9, 2018–July 1, 2020
The Sculpture Park at Madhavendra Palace, Jaipur, India

Five Mirrors of the World consists of five large colored mirrors, a hand printed hair cloth with roses and Bodhi leaves. The work is structured to seem floating in space on a circle with a universe of colors reflecting the walls of the Maharaja suite and the sky. The viewer can circle the work – in a performative gesture, as it transforms into a giant prayer wheel. Each Mirror relates to an aspect of our energy, and existence, our personality, our emotional landscape, and how we relate to others and our world.Five Mirrors of the World refers to astronomical diagrams, Tibetan thangkas of the five Dakini/ Buddha Families and the artists recent Rose Mirror Mandala installations.
