One of the most prominent artists of his generation Jannis Varelas has created a site specific project for VEZENÉ́. Using food as a starting point his playful paintings are teeming with color and energy while two large-scale collage figures Sailor and Bob overlook space.

Jannis Varelas (b. 1977 Greek) lives and works between Athens, Los Angeles and Vienna and is a graduate of the Royal College of Art in London (MFA) and the Athens School of Fine Arts (BA). THE BREEDER x VEZENÉ collaboration brings together two dynamic representatives of contemporary Greek culture, that although are in different fields share a common philosophy, vision and creativity. For this synergy artists and artistic projects curated by THE BREEDER gallery, create site- specific interventions at VEZENÉ restaurant, enhancing the culinary experience with contemporary art.
