H&M celebrates the launch of the new Iris Apfel x H&M collection with the art exhibition “Find Your Inner Iris”
On the occasion of the Iris Apfel x H&M collection launch and the celebration of the 100th birthday of the beloved style pioneer, H&M welcomes 12 distinguished artists in an exclusive Art Event Exhibition.
For 100 years, Iris has been inspiring people to create, celebrate and embrace their personal style. The bold shades, the patterns, the colorful jewelry and also the intelligent way in which Iris manages to combine all of them, successfully, in one look, is the reason why Iris Apfel is renowned for her flamboyant fashion, fierce individuality and bold outfits, she is considered one of the most well-dressed, style icons and influential presences of fashion.
Through different expressive approaches, inspired by the bold style of Iris Apfel and the color palette of the Iris Apfel x H&M collection, the artists: Fokeas Sotiris (Soteur), Koroniou Aggelianna (Foxy Lady), Lolos Vasilis, Manousakis Alexandra, Megoulas Yasonas (Cacao Rocks), Orfanidou Ylenia (The Greek Stitch), Pagkalou Maria (Little Miss Grumpy), Pantazelou Giorgia (Padalu), Papailiopoulou Pavlina (Vlinki), Roumelioti Korina, Stanellos Konstantinos (Dreyk the Pirate), Tsamouris Alexandros created a range of progressive, abstract, pop art, impressive works of art on canvas, silkscreens, but also sculptures, digital installations and triptych compositions.
The main pieces of the collection are also displayed in the ground floor of the gallery. Iris Apflelx H&M offers an assortment of stunning pieces designed for everyone. The collection includes colorful sets, floral suits, dresses with ruffles and bright printed dresses, which combine textures, interesting cuts and patterns. Of course, jewelry could not be missing from the collection. Iris Apfel in collaboration with H&M, designed a series of jewelry and accessories that complement every woman’s wardrobe, all outfits and accessories embrace Iris’s bold sense of style and independence.
Earnings from the sale of the artworks will be donated in the form of a scholarship to the Non-Profit organization “P.E.A.N.D” member of the Association “Together for Children” through the “Vakalo Art & Design College” in order to cover educational programs for young prospective students.
